Sub-150 J/10 Hz DPSS Pulsed Laser Bivoj with 2nd and 3rd Harmonic Frequency Conversion
We report on a multi-slab Yb:YAG nanosecond laser Bivoj/Dipole. Operation up to 146J at 10Hz was demonstrated. Thermally-induced anisotropy was reduced from >30% to 3% thanks to combination of polarimetry and optimization algorithm. Efficient frequency conversion to <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$2^{\mathrm{n}\mathrm{d}}$</tex> (95J@10Hz) and <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$3^{\mathrm{r}\mathrm{d}}$</tex> (49J@10Hz) harmonic in LBO crystals was achieved. A large aperture Faraday isolator based on TGG with >30dB isolation ratio was developed for the system. © 2024 Martin Smrz
