Reconfigurable Topological Charge in Silicon Gratings

The unidirectional radiation of asymmetric photonic crystal is characterized by a 1/2-topological charge. We show how this charge can be controlled by varying the gap between silicon substrate and gratings and used for the optimal design for silicon-based photonic devices. © 2024 The Author(s)

Abstract

The unidirectional radiation of asymmetric photonic crystal is characterized by a 1/2-topological charge. We show how this charge can be controlled by varying the gap between silicon substrate and gratings and used for the optimal design for silicon-based photonic devices. © 2024 The Author(s)
