Experimental Demonstration on the Feasibility of 800GHz-Spaced Bidirectional 100GBASE-ER1 Transceivers for X-Haul Application

We propose and demonstrate a pair of 106.25 Gbit/s single-channel bidirectional transceivers with 800 GHz wavelength interval. Experimental results show that the transceivers can transmit over 40 km single mode fiber without internal amplifiers.
