Green, Orange and Red Optical Skyrmions Generation from Pr3+-Doped Fiber Laser

We report on the generation of green, orange, and red optical skyrmions from a Pr-doped fiber laser in combination with an intracavity wedge plate shearing interferometer (WPSI) coupler. We also demonstrated the selective control of the Neél, Bloch, and anti-optical skyrmions by simply moving on-axially the intracavity WPSI coupler and properly adjusting an extra-cavity quarter-wave plate.

Abstract

We report on the generation of green, orange, and red optical skyrmions from a Pr-doped fiber laser in combination with an intracavity wedge plate shearing interferometer (WPSI) coupler. We also demonstrated the selective control of the Neél, Bloch, and anti-optical skyrmions by simply moving on-axially the intracavity WPSI coupler and properly adjusting an extra-cavity quarter-wave plate.
