Topology Optimization of Lithium Niobate Mode Converter
We propose an inverse design approach for lithium niobate (LiNbO₃) integrated photonics element. Free-formed LiNbO₃ mode converters are optimized with fabrication constraints of thick nonlinear photonic. With the proposed devices, we experimentally demonstrate second-order nonlinear effects.
