Narrowband Chirping of Microwave Waveforms Using Stimulated Brillouin Scattering

Narrowband chirping of RF waveforms utilizing stimulated Brillouin scattering and tailoring the phase-modulated response of a microwave photonic link is demonstrated. A pump power of only 0.28 dBm delivers a high chirp of -115 ns/GHz.
