In-service Core Identification for Multi-core Fiber-based Spatial-division Multiplexing Systems

We propose an in-service core identification scheme for MCF-based SDM systems, successfully transmitting over a 40-km 7-core fiber using optimally combined 32GBaud DP-16- QAM signal and two-layer optical labels.
