Sampled Gratings on InP Membrane Platform for Tunable Narrow Linewidth Laser

We demonstrated a sidewall-corrugated sampled grating fabricated on the InP membrane platform, achieving a 0.3 nm 3-dB bandwidth. Theoretically, a laser, using this type grating in an external cavity, can enable a <40 kHz linewidth and a 55 nm tuning range. © 2024 The Author(s)

Abstract

We demonstrated a sidewall-corrugated sampled grating fabricated on the InP membrane platform, achieving a 0.3 nm 3-dB bandwidth. Theoretically, a laser, using this type grating in an external cavity, can enable a <40 kHz linewidth and a 55 nm tuning range. © 2024 The Author(s)
