Analysis on Angular Noise Tolerance of Binary Phase Shift Keying Based Time Domain Index Modulation Signals

This paper analyses the quantum noise generated in gain-saturated periodically poled Lithium Niobate waveguides for optical repeater amplification in fiber transmission systems. Suppressing amplitude noise is shown to improve the signal-to-noise ratio in such systems.
