Demonstration of Single-End-Access Brillouin Sensing Using Plastic Optical Fibers with 1 kHz Sampling Rate
This work presents the fastest single-end-access distributed strain sensing in plastic optical fibers, achieving a 1-kHz sampling rate through Brillouin optical correlation-domain reflectometry, marking a >20 times leap over the previous benchmark of 42 Hz. © 2024 The Author(s)
