Impairment-Tolerant DGD Monitoring Using Optical Labels in WDM Coherent Optical Transmission Systems
A novel impairment-tolerant DGD monitoring scheme based on PAM4 optical label is proposed, in which the DGD is monitored by calculating the change ratio of peak power of PAM4 labels at the corresponding pilot tone in the reception spectrum. Simulation results demonstrate its effectiveness, flexibility and excellent CD and OSNR tolerance.
