Mode-Dependent Losses in Nested Antiresonant Hollow Core Fibers

We have numerically investigated the wavelength dependence of the mode dependent loss characteristics of the nested anti-resonant hollow core fibers (HC-NANFs). The difference between the fundamental mode loss and the lowest loss among the higher order modes differs by an order of magnitude, which ensures single mode guidance of the HC-NANF.

Abstract

We have numerically investigated the wavelength dependence of the mode dependent loss characteristics of the nested anti-resonant hollow core fibers (HC-NANFs). The difference between the fundamental mode loss and the lowest loss among the higher order modes differs by an order of magnitude, which ensures single mode guidance of the HC-NANF.
