Toward Compact and Stand-Alone Microcomb Generation Enabled by DFB Lasers

We demonstrate deterministic access to Kerr solitons in a compact, packaged silicon nitride microring module, which paves the way for stable soliton applications outside of laboratory settings using readily available DFB lasers.
