On-Chip Temperature Sensor Based On Waveguide Birefringence Effect

We propose and demonstrate a silicon photonic temperature sensor based on waveguide birefringence effect. Experimentally, efficient temperature sensing is achieved with a sensitivity of 0.075 rad/K, offering a compact and simple on-chip solution.
