Sensitivity Enhancement Through Triangular Chirped-Pulse Phase OTDR
We propose a triangular chirp method in chirped-pulse phase optical time domain reflectometry (CP Φ-OTDR) by utilizing both (up and down) chirp within the pulse without increasing the chirp (i.e., the receiver bandwidth). We provide the theoretical analysis of the proposed technique and demonstrate through experiments that the proposed method improves the sensitivity by ∼3 dB. © 2024 The Author(s)
