High-Q Nanograting Ring Resonator Coupled With Grating Waveguides
We demonstrate a nanograting ring resonator (NGRR) coupled with a nanograting waveguide to obtain high-Q resonance concentric modes by FDTD simulation. The highest Q factor is <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$4.5\times 10^{4}$</tex> for the <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$3.96-\mu \mathrm{m}$</tex> radius NGRR.
