Multifunctional Metasurface Enabling Polarization Control and Vortex Beam Generation

The compactness and multi-functional integration of optical devices have emerged as a pivotal development direction in modern optics. Here, a singlet, planar, and multifunctional dielectric metasurface based on tilted amorphous silicon nanoposts was proposed, simultaneously functioning as an efficient half-wave plate and vortex beam generator, suitable for compact photonics applications.

Abstract

The compactness and multi-functional integration of optical devices have emerged as a pivotal development direction in modern optics. Here, a singlet, planar, and multifunctional dielectric metasurface based on tilted amorphous silicon nanoposts was proposed, simultaneously functioning as an efficient half-wave plate and vortex beam generator, suitable for compact photonics applications.
