Multi-Quantum Stretching and Rotating Excitation of Carbon Dioxide via Intense Mid-Infrared Laser Pulses
We report on experimental demonstration of rovibrational ladder climbing in the anti-symmetric stretch of gaseous carbon dioxide using intense mid-infrared laser pulses. Rotational wave packets at higher vibrational states up to <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$v=10$</tex> are observed.
