Adaptive Integrated Guidance and Control for HSV in Ascent Phase With Time-Varying State Constraints

In this article, an adaptive integrated guidance and control (IGC) scheme is proposed for the six-degree-of-freedom (6DOF) model of an ascent hypersonic vehicle (HSV) with multiple constraints, strong couplings, and combined power switching, distinct from the reentry and cruise phases. The consideration of multiple constraints, especially time-varying state constraints, not only significantly enhances the applicability of the results but also increases the complexities and challenges in the design of the IGC scheme. To address the feasibility conditions in the barrier Lyapunov function (BLF) and integral BLF for managing time-varying state constraints, a nonlinear mapping method for a high-order multiple-input multiple-output pure-feedback (HMPF) system is developed. The strong couplings in the 6DOF model of the ascent HSV are incorporated within the HMPF system, rather than being treated as disturbances, providing a more realistic characterization of the HSV and improving the complexity of the IGC scheme design. Neural networks are employed to estimate unknown uncertainties and disturbances, enhancing tracking control accuracy. It is demonstrated that the designed IGC scheme not only achieves the guidance and control objectives but also ensures system stability and the boundedness of all signals. Finally, simulation results based on the 6DOF model of the ascent HSV validate the effectiveness of the proposed IGC scheme.
