Structural, magnetic, and electrical properties of LaMnO3 doped with Na by microwave-assisted synthesis method
Abstract The electric and magnetic transport properties of La 1-x Na x MnO 3 (x = 0.15, 0.2, 0.25, 0.3) are studied using the X-ray diffraction (XRD), vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM), and four-probe resistivity measurement method. The samples are synthesized by the method of microwave heating. The obtained samples show phase changes around x = 0.25. The magnetization measurement shows the curie temperature ( T c) increases as the level of doping increases and saturates around x = 0.25. The resistivity measurement dramatically decreases at a metal-insulator transition temperature close to T c. These findings are discussed along with the structural features of different Na concentrations.
