Ghazalian Behavioral Habitus in Pesantren: Study of Sufistic Behavior of Mukhtar Shafa'at Blokagung Banyuwangi

This study aims to analyze the Ghazalian behavioral habitus in pesantren through a study of the Sufistic practices implemented by Kyai Haji Mukhtar Syafa'at in Pesantren Blokagung, Banyuwangi.Habitus, as a pattern of behavior formed from interactions between individuals and social and cultural contexts, becomes the main focus to understand how Ghazalian teachings influence Sufistic practices in the pesantren.Using a qualitative approach, this study examines various dimensions of behavior, Sufistic rituals, and spiritual education methods applied by Kyai Haji Mukhtar Syafa'at.The findings of this study indicate that Ghazalian teachings have played a significant role in shaping the habitus of Sufistic behavior in Pesantren Blokagung.These practices include the rituals of tasfiyah (soul cleansing), tazkiyah (purification of the heart), as well as the application of mystical values in the daily lives of santri and pesantren administrators.This research contributes to a deeper understanding of the application of Ghazalian Sufistic teachings in the local context, as well as its impact on the spiritual and social life of pesantren.
