Synthetic Aperture Radar Image Quality Assessment with Inaccurate Imaging Parameters
In the process of synthetic aperture radar (SAR) imaging, inaccuracy of imaging parameters is a common issue that affects image quality. This paper investigates SAR image quality assessment under the condition of inaccurate imaging parameters. We analyze the effectiveness of several existing image quality assessment methods and propose a new image quality assessment method -Weighted Minimum Deviation Evaluation Function (WMDEF). WMDEF is defined as weighted sum of four image quality evaluation functions, and the weights are obtained by particle swarm optimization. Experimental results demonstrate that, under this circumstance, the evaluation performance of WMDEF surpasses that of several other image quality assessment methods.
