Spot Light: A Disaster Safety Assistance Mobile Application with Disaster Alert, Rescue Center Search, Relief Apply, and Seeking Help Features

Climate change, deforestation, pollution, and geographical land characteristics have all contributed to a variety of disasters in South Asia. Humans can suffer a variety of consequences from disasters, including loss of life and property. The existing disaster-related work did not deliver an online-based disaster safety assistance system for citizens that included features like immediate disaster alerts, rescue center searches, relief fund transfer facilities, online relief application features for low-income people, volunteer job applications, necessary contact numbers, safety tips, inquiries, and help-seeking message posts. To resolve the existing limitations, this article inaugurates a disaster safety assistance mobile application that includes disaster-affected and needy people status checking, rescue and relief center search based on date, location, and shelter information, relief fund transfer, online relief application, disaster-related inquiry and response, emergency help message posting, existing system facility check, volunteer job application, and contact number. The app provides convenience, potential, and readiness analysis. According to the results, more than 52% of evaluators provided highly pleasing feedback on the proposed disaster safety assistance application.

Abstract

Climate change, deforestation, pollution, and geographical land characteristics have all contributed to a variety of disasters in South Asia. Humans can suffer a variety of consequences from disasters, including loss of life and property.
