Land Surface Temperature Dynamics and Flood Mapping Insights across Andhra Pradesh using Google Earth Engine
This paper focuses on environmental monitoring in Andhra Pradesh, India, utilizing remote sensing methodologies This consists of flood detection using satellite radar imagery and analysis of land surface temperature (LST) with satellite thermal data. The flood detection algorithm identifies flooded areas, employing radar data processing techniques to discern inundated regions. Concurrently, the LST analysis tracks temperature variations across the region. By converting temperature data to Celsius and visualizing trends over time, the project facilitates insights into environmental changes. The collective analysis offers a comprehensive understanding of environmental dynamics in Andhra Pradesh, crucial for informed decision-making. Applications include disaster management, where flood detection aids in emergency response efforts, and agriculture, where temperature analysis supports crop monitoring and planning. Furthermore, the insights provided contribute to climate monitoring initiatives, aiding in the assessment of long-term environmental trends and facilitating proactive measures for sustainability and resilience.
