BEM-ESTAR DE RUMINANTES NA PRODUÇÃO LEITEIRA: ENSINO APRENDIZAGEM AO PÚBLICO INFANTO JUVENIL

Ensuring animal welfare is essential for the health of animals and crucial for maximizing production, as animals in comfortable conditions produce more and better. However, much misinformation circulates on social media, spreading false information and harming production chains. This project aimed to educate children about proper management, welfare, and dairy production of farm animals, promoting values of compassion, responsibility, and respect for animals. Conducted on a recreational farm in Vargem Grande, Rio de Janeiro, the project involved approximately 50 children. This study addresses the lack of educational content on animal welfare and seeks to raise public awareness about the importance of proper management. The results demonstrated a significant improvement in children's knowledge about animal welfare and proper management, with an increase from 30% to 85% in understanding the topic. Additionally, 90% of the children reported enjoying the practical activities and interactive games, and 80% indicated that the lectures were interesting and informative. These data highlight the effectiveness of practical activities in conveying complex concepts in an accessible and engaging manner.

Abstract

Additionally, 90% of the children reported enjoying the practical activities and interactive games, and 80% indicated that the lectures were interesting and informative. These data highlight the effectiveness of practical activities in conveying complex concepts in an accessible and engaging manner.
