Based on the clinical features of cytologically intrinsic chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps
Mixed CRSwNP and eosinophilic CRSwNP are the most common, while neutrophilic CRSWNP is the least common. Eosinophilic CRSwNP is more common in bilateral nasal polyps, with a high recurrence rate and a high probability of olfactory dysfunction. Neutrophilic CRSwNP is more common in elderly patients with cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases. Compared with total serum IgE, the percentage of eosinophils in peripheral blood is more helpful for the diagnosis of eosinophilic CRSwNP.
