Assessment of interleukin- 8, IL- 10 and some physiological variables in arthritis patients recovered from SARS covid 2 induced covid 19 infections
The research was conducted on arthritis patients, male and female, from private medical clinics and private hospitals in Kirkuk Governorate and the samples were divided into three groups. The first group was 63 arthritis patients who recovered from Corona. The second group included 37 arthritis patients without covid 19 infection. The number of healthy people without arthritis and Covid was 29. In this study, patients with diabetes, high blood pressure, cardiovascular disease, kidney disease, asthma, smokers and alcohol abusers were excluded. The ages of the samples obtained ranged between 34-75 for the period from October 2022 - March 2023. The aim of the present study was to measure the levels of some immunological and physiological parameters for these groups. The results of the study showed, with regard to the level of interleukin 8, that there was a significant difference p ≤ 0.05 between the group of healthy people and the group of patients who did not have Covid and those recovering from Covid and there was a slight but not significant increase p > 0.05 between the first and second groups. Regarding physiological blood parameters, the results showed a slight non-significant decrease, p > 0.05, between healthy people and patients with regard to the concentration of hemoglobin and red blood cells. As for white blood cells, there was a significant increase, p ≤ 0.05, among the healthy group compared with the first and second groups and the level of ESR also increased significantly, p ≤ 0.05, among the three groups. There was a significant differences p ≤ 0.05 between the three groups 1, 2 and 3 with a significant scoring values regarding IL-8 and IL-10. Differential decrease and increase regarding physiological blood parameters were reported.
