Genome-wide characterization of the DNA-binding B3 superfamily Lagenaria siceraria and profiling its expression in biotic stresses
An important vegetable plant, the bottle gourd (Lagenaria siceraria), also serves as a rootstock for other cucurbit crops. Their vitality as a food crop is strengthened by their geographical diversity and the health-promoting elements. However, less attention has been paid to the detection of the B3-binding superfamily in bottle gourd. A set of gene families known as the DNA-binding B3 superfamily includes proteins that possess a B3 domain. These include Auxin Response Factor (ARF), insensitive to abscisic acid 3 (ABI3), high expression of Sugar Inducible (HSI), associated with ABI3/VP1 (RAV) and Reproductive Meristem (REM). The five families make up the group. In this study, 54 bottle gourd genes belonged to the B3 superfamily. Gene duplication events were examined to learn more about the evolution of the B3 supergene family in bottle gourd. Only five pairs of genes appeared to have duplicate copies. According to phylogenetic data, B3 genes of bottle gourd are clearly organized into subfamilies: REM, ARF, RAV and LAV. These results confirm the significant growth response of B3 superfamily genes present in bottle gourd and can be further investigated to determine conditional factors for future research goals. These studies confirmed the presence of growth regulators of the tested species.
