First-Trimester Prediction of Preterm Pre-eclampsia and Prophylaxis by Aspirin: Effect on Spontaneous and Iatrogenic Preterm Birth
(Abstracted from BJOG 2024;131:483–492) Preeclampsia is a serious complication of pregnancy, and efforts have been made to increase the ability to predict when an individual will develop the condition. Guidelines from the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) are based on risk factor scoring, with high-risk women having either 1 major risk factor or 2 moderate risk factors.
