Predictors of Anterior Cruciate Ligament Tears in Adolescents and Young Adults
Age, time engaged in vigorous activity, overweight/obese status, and advanced Tanner stage were associated with an increased risk of ACL injury in young adults and adolescents. Further research with follow-up data will help complement this study and continue to highlight the risk factors associated with ACL reconstruction in adolescents and young adults.
