Methods For this purpose, four surveys were conducted on learners who took a writing course at University A located in Gyeongsangnam-do in the first and second semesters of 2023 (113 people in the pre-survey, 118 people in the post-survey) asking about their weaknesses, preferences, and needs in writing. It was carried out.. Results As a result, the learners had vague fears and difficulties with writing, but it was confirmed that the difficulties were alleviated to some extent through writing classes. In addition, it was found that writing class had a positive effect on learners' self-perception of their writing skills, and that learners felt satisfied when what they learned in writing class was usefully used in situations other than writing class. Conclusions For more effective writing classes, it is necessary to present writing styles that learners can easily access and to provide education that is faithful to the basics of writing.
