Media synergy and emotional effects: an analysis of blockchain technology communication in China

In order to analyze the role and synergistic effect mechanism of different types of media in the process of technology dissemination, this study used big data analysis technology to analyze the content of 47,994 media texts about blockchain technology in domestic newspapers, online news, online forums, blogs, weibo, and other media. It found that in the process of blockchain technology dissemination, news media (network news and newspapers) are the most important information sources, playing a leading role. Text emotion calculation of news media and social media shows that emotion is a factor in the communication process of media in blockchain technology. Multiple types of media coordination are conducive to the dissemination of technology, and the effect of media coordination constantly changes in the dissemination process and eventually tends to be dynamic and stable. Hence, the planning of media resources is essential in this process. Moreover, text emotion of different media types interacts and resonates in the communication process.
