Routine Histopathology in Laparoscopic Sleeve Gastrectomy Over 10 Years
Histopathological examination of the LSG specimen revealed a very high prevalence of gastritis, with normal findings in less than a fifth of all cases. The prevalence of H. pylori infection (26.0%) is much higher in comparison to other studies. Routine histopathology of LSG specimens should continue to be performed in every case.
