Comment on “A New Boson Expansion Theory Utilizing a Norm Operator”

Abstract Claims in a recent paper by Taniguchi for the normal-ordered linked-cluster expansion of the modified Marumori boson mapping are based on a flawed argument. Several papers not cited by the author have explained this weakness in detail and concluded that, in order to construct a meaningful boson expansion theory, the unphysical components must be removed from the fermion space before mapping it onto the boson space.

Abstract

Abstract Claims in a recent paper by Taniguchi for the normal-ordered linked-cluster expansion of the modified Marumori boson mapping are based on a flawed argument. Several papers not cited by the author have explained this weakness in detail and concluded that, in order to construct a meaningful boson expansion theory, the unphysical components must be removed from the fermion space before mapping it onto the boson space.
