C2 Ganglionectomy for Pain Associated with Multiple Occipital Neurofibromas
Here, we present the case of a patient with neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF-1) who responded to bilateral C2 ganglionectomies for treatment of pain associated with multiple neurofibromas along the greater occipital nerves. To our knowledge, this is the first reported case of ganglionectomy or proximal neurotomy for the management of neuropathic pain in peripheral nerve tumors.
