Polish infection control nurses’ burnout in the context of cooperation of different hospital professionals during COVID-19 pandemic
The surveyed ICNs had higher rates of EE and PA than nurses working with patients, both before and during the pandemic. The level of burnout found in the ICN study group reached a level correlating in other studies with the intention to quit the job. The obtained results indicate the need to include effective training in the skills of working in multidisciplinary teams and the art of communication and achieving goals by ICNs.
