The Meaning of Christian Women's Work in New Middle-aged
The purpose of this study is to investigate the common characteristics, meaning, and experiences of the phenomena they experienced with 10 Christian new-middle-aged women who have work experience. As a result of the thematic analysis, first, the essential theme of work and meaning, 'work makes me live, make me competent, and practice love', was derived. Second, for new-middle-aged women, work appeared as a way to practice faith and a space to share love. Third, work appeared as a desire of Christian new-middle-aged women to form relationships through a sense of belonging and a sense of community away from difficult emotions. Based on these results, we discussed exploring individual recovery and growth potential through 'work', which is Kohut's self-object, and building mature relationships and healthy self-love by using his own wisdom and creativity. Therefore, this study proposes integrated and professional care to provide pastoral care and counseling to Christian new-middle-aged women.
