Educational Issues and Tasks of Creative Experience Activities
This study aims to theoretically explore the context and educaitonal value of creative experience activities, and to identify and discuss the current issues and tasks related to these activities. First, the context of the development of creative experience activities was examined in terms of special activities and discretionary activities, and the intrinsic value was analyzed from the perspectives of society, learners, and subjects, which are the main factors in determining the curriculum. Based on this, the issues were discussed with questions such as “Is it creative or experience-centered?”, “Is autonomy ensured in the design and operation process?”, “Does it demonstrate its intrinsic educational value?”, and “What is its relationship with other curriculum policies?”. As preliminary alternatives to these issues, the following tasks were proposed. First, establish achievement standards for minimum quality management of creative experience activities. Second, grant substantial autonomy in the design and operation process of the creative experience activities curriculum. Third, provide policy support for professionalism that completes autonomy. Fourth, conduct active research on the linkage and environmental creation within and outside the curriculum. Fifth, expand the online support system for creative experience activities. Sixth, clearly establish relationships with other curriculum policies . This is meaningful in enhancing the quality of school education by making this space, where the autonomy and professionalism of teachers’ curriculum are concentrated, more distinctive and realizing its educational value.
