Second, parental excessive interference has a negative influence on grit, while academic stress is positively influenced by parental excessive interference. Grit has a negative influence on academic stress. Third, between excessive interference and academic stress, grit has an indirect mediating effect. The mediating effect was verified through the bootstrap procedure.
