AVALIAÇÃO FÍSICO-QUÍMICA E MICROBIOLÓGICA DAS ÁGUAS DE BEBEDOUROS DE COZINHAS DA ESCOLA ESTADUAL SANTA RITA DE CÁSSIA E OFICINA DE ENSINO SONHO MEU
The planet is enveloped by an immense amount of water, which is extremely important to all living beings as it is fundamental to various bodily functions. However, it must meet drinking water standards because it is used for hydration and food preparation. Since children spend much of their day in school, this study aimed to analyze and evaluate the water quality of supplies at Santa Rita de Cássia State School and the Sonho Meu Teaching Workshop, both located in the municipality of Nova Iguaçu, in Baixada Fluminense, Rio de Janeiro. Physical-chemical and microbiological methods were employed, and the results were satisfactory, making the water safe for consumption. Given these findings, regular monitoring is crucial for the prevention of water borne diseases and the maintenance of health; the responsibility for this lies with the establishment’s management.
