Artificial Intelligence Utilization for Ship Design Optimization
Rapid developments in technology and Artificial Intelligence (AI) serve as primary sources of utilization for improvements of the ship design processes. Structured initially by ship inputs and constraints, Artificial Intelligence algorithms hold the potential to generate and optimize machinery arrangements to reduce size, weight, power, and cost (SWAP-C) impacts. Integration of AI capabilities into ship design in capacities such as machinery arrangements offer overall design process time improvements and increase ship production capabilities.
