Factors Related to Industrial Accident Prevention Behavior of Workers in Manufacturing Noise Workplaces

Purpose : This study aims to analyze factors related to industrial accident prevention behavior of workers in noisy manufacturing workplaces. Methods : This study analyzed the data from the ‘Status Survey on the Wearing of Noise Insulating Protective Equipment’ study. The data from 329 workers who worked in noisy manufacturing workplaces for over one month were used in the final analysis, and the data collection was conducted from November 1, 2021 to December 12, 2021. The study was analyzed using the SPSS/WIN 25.0 statistical program. Results : As a result of this study, as a factor related to industrial accident prevention activities, it was found that companies classified as partner companies rather than head office, the more training workers receive on hearing protection, also fatigue is have or not have rather than normal fatigue and to experience no ear disease performed industrial accident prevention activities better. Conclusion : Based on the results of this study, an interventional approach is needed to strengthen hearing protection-related education and increase industrial accident prevention behavior through hearing tests and fatigue & stress management of workers in the workplace.
