A Study on the Construction and Application of a Korean Textbook Corpus in China

In Korean language education, existing research on Korean corpora has primarily focused on learner corpora. However, only a limited number of studies have addressed the construction and application of textbook corpora, and these efforts have been insufficient, limiting their effectiveness in supporting research and practice in Korean language education. Therefore, establishing a textbook corpus designed for Korean language education in China is particularly important. This study explores the construction and application of a Korean textbook corpus tailored for college-level Korean language education. It details the textbook corpus construction process, encompassing approximately 6.6 million morphologically tagged words. Additionally, the study designs and develops a user-friendly corpus search platform. The platform is easy to use, supports contextual co-occurrence, and offers conditional filtering functions, effectively enabling the textbook corpus to support Korean language teaching research and practice in China.
