AUFEIS IN THE MAGADAN REGION
Aufeis regulate surface and underground runoff and are an important element in the chain of water exchange processes in the permafrost zone. According to Landsat images (2013-2019), the number of recorded aufeis in the Magadan region is 2510, and the area is 1132,3 km2, which is 38% more and 33% less (respectively) than according to materials from 1958. River aufeis coverage varies from 0,14 in the Kolyma River basin to 1,40% in the Anmangynda River basin. The total resources of aufeis are at least 1,3 km3 or 2,9 mm of aufeis runoff. Aufeis have the greatest impact on river flow during the spring flood period. Thus, aufeis runoff in May-June ranges from 0,6 to 13,6% of river flow. Using the “Hydrograph” model, the Anmangynda river with aufeis feed runoff hydrographs are satisfactorily described. This made it possible to estimate the flow of aufeis runoff on a daily interval.
