PETROGRAPHY OF THE ROCKS COMPOSING THE GREENSTONE COMPLEX OF THE UTANAKH ORE OCCURRENCE (UPPER TIMPTON GOLD MINING DISTRICT)

The paper presents and discusses data on the petrography and petrochemistry of the diaphthorites with disseminated sulfides replasing the basic rocks in the area. As a result of the research, it was found that diaphthorites belong to the greenschist facies. In the progress of petrographic studies, the rocks were divided into two subfacies. The subfacies have some differences in the mineral composition of the rocks, which are well observed by microscopic study. First subfaction is represented by the mineral association of oligoclase, epidote, actinolite, biotite and muscovite. Second subfation is represented by the albite-chlorite-sericite association.
