Research of Forensic Linguistics in Chinese and English Based on Bibliometric Analysis from 1992 to 2024
Extensive research has been conducted on legal language in Chinese and English over the past three decades, with a specific focus on researchers, research institutions, hotspot areas, and knowledge clustering. This study employs CiteSpace v.6.3.R1 software for bibliometric analysis of literature from core legal language journals to present the research trends in forensic linguistics in Chinese and English. Comparative findings reveal that research on Chinese legal language has undergone rapid development and gradually aligned with the forefront of English legal language research. Despite differences in purpose, background, and methodology between Chinese and English legal language studies, both sides share a common thematic framework centered around law. The continuous prosperity and progress in forensic linguistics necessitate further enhancement of international communication and cooperation, while concurrently facilitating the establishment of a global discourse system for law.
