2024 IERA Award: Realtime Robotics Awarded for Optimization Tool [Industry Activities]
The 2024 “Award for Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Robotics and Automation” (IERA) was given to Realtime Robotics, a U.S. company in Boston, for its fully automatic motion planning tool for industrial robots (see <xref ref-type="fig" rid="fig1" xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">Figure 1</xref>). The solution develops an optimized “choreography” for robots that work closely together in work cells without collision. This year, for the first time, all four finalists are newcomers in the industry.
