Call for Students Participating in IEEE Robotic Standardization Efforts (SPIRSE) [Society News]
The IEEE Robotics and Automation Society (RAS) is interested in encouraging students to play an active role in existing robotics standardization efforts. The RAS has multiple standardization efforts, which can be found at <uri xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">https://www.ieee-ras.org/industry-government/standards</uri>. To help encourage student participation, funds have been set aside to provide travel support to students interested in attending the IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Automation (ICRA) (<uri xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">https://2025.ieee-icra.org/</uri>) in Atlanta, GA, USA, from 19 May to 23 May, where numerous IEEE robotics standardization meetings will be held.
