Nutritional Supplements Intake and Doping Awareness among Squash Players

Squash players strive to optimize their performance through various methods, with nutritional supplements playing a key role. Supplements help replenish nutrients, restore energy, aid recovery, and enhance stamina. However, improper use and doping risks pose potential issues. This study investigated the use and perception of nutritional supplements and doping among squash players through an online survey. The results revealed that the majority of players use nutritional supplements for performance enhancement and rapid recovery. However, it was found that there is a lack of necessary knowledge in the selection and usage of nutritional supplements, and awareness of doping risks is relatively low among players. This underscores the need for strengthening sports nutrition management and doping prevention education. The study emphasizes developing educational programs to help athletes use supplements safely and effectively and to provide continuous doping prevention education. Limitations include regional constraints and self-reporting data. Future research should broaden the scope and include clinical studies to evaluate the effects of supplements, aiming to maintain athletes&quot health and ensure fairness in sports.
