EP23.42: Diagnostic accuracy of IOTA ADNEX model for malignant ovarian tumours in women admitted to the Gynecologic Oncology Department at Tu Du Hospital

To evaluate the accuracy of predicting malignant ovarian tumours in women with a risk of malignancy of ≥ 10% according to IOTA ADNEX model before surgery at Tu Du Hospital. 105 women with adnexal masses admitted to the Gynecologic Oncology Department of Tu Du Hospital from February to December 2023 were included in the study. Before surgery, patients underwent ultrasound for tumour evaluation and quantitative serum CA 125 testing. These adnexal masses were classified based on the IOTA ADNEX model. A 10% cut-off value for malignancy risk on IOTA ADNEX was used to discriminate between benign and malignant tumours before surgery. Histopathology was the gold standard for postoperative malignant diagnosis. Out of 105 cases, 80 were malignant tumours and 25 were benign tumours. 76/94 (80.8%) cases with a malignancy risk of ≥10% had malignant outcomes on histopathology. Using the 10% cut-off value, 76/80 (95%) malignant tumours were accurately classified. The IOTA ADNEX model demonstrates relatively high accuracy in diagnosing malignant ovarian tumours at Tu Du Hospital.
